La-Z-Boy and the Recliners combine howling vocals, rock-solid bass lines, mortar shell snare drum hits, and incendiary guitar solos to perform Rockabilly, Honky Tonk, and Truck Driving classics.

La-Z-Boy (guitar and vocals) has been performing classic American music for most of his life. He travels the country in a ’69 Chevy Nova playing gigs with the Recliners, collecting songs, and working odd jobs. He is reportedly working sales at a NAPA auto parts store in Huntington, West Virginia, but no one knows for sure. Very little is known about his life, but put a Telecaster in his hands and you no longer care.

Drummer "Tiny" Moeser was embarking upon a brilliant career as a dancer with the "Tristan Shout" Ballet Company (New York City). Following "the tragedy" he was forced to turn to the trucking industry. He is an over-the-road driver for Trans-Am trucking out of Omaha, Nebraska. "Tiny" keeps a drum kit in his rig and re-routes to make all of his dates with LA-Z-Boy.

King Sax (with an E) is a veteran of the "Chitterling" blues circuit. He was a member of the legendary King Curtis orchestra and now trades blistering sax solos with La-Z-Boy’s guitar. Don’t miss an opportunity to check out his majesty!

Rocket Gibraltar, the newest member of the band, showed up to check out La-Z-Boy at a gig one night. The regular bass player didn’t show up, Rocket appeared out of nowhere, played the show, and has been the bassist ever since. No one really knows how to contact him. He just mysteriously shows up. Rumor has it that he spends his time working on oil rigs in the Gulf and being a sous chef at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris.

Fiddler/Vionlinist Andy Carlson (a.k.a. La-Z-Boy) began learning fiddle tunes at age five from his grandfather Earl Murphy. He has won numerous fiddle contests and has twice been named the Georgia State Champion Fiddler. He has earned both a MM and BMUS from the University of Georgia and a DMA in Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Iowa. While at the University of Iowa, he was the recipient of the Iowa Performance Fellowship and the Pelzer Competition Fellowship. Andy was the MTNA Wurlitzer Collegiate Artist Competition winner for the State of Georgia for three years in a row (1992-1994) and won the University of Georgia Concerto Competition in 1992.
