Deighton Charlemagne

Deighton Charlemagne is a native of the Caribbean Island of St. Lucia. His musical career began in 1982 on the campus of Ohio University with the formation of the highly successful reggae group Identity.
Deighton has performed throughout the U.S. sharing the stage with acts such as The Clash, Sly & Robbie, King Sunny Ade and Third World. He has been a featured artist at the Noche de San Juan Festival in Puerto Rico and the Winston Music Festival in the Virgin Islands.
With the aid of a state-of-the-art musical sampler, Deighton has developed a unique solo act that he can customize to fit the needs of any event. Deighton is also the leader of the Columbus Caribbean Steeldrum Orchestra. The group offers his solo act with the possible addition of 1-5 supporting musicians. Whether the situation calls for low-key ambiance or a more festive dynamic, Deighton has the skills and experience to provide the appropriate entertainment.
