Champipple was formed in 2004 in Columbus, Ohio combining a group of professionals that have a rich and long musical history. The band itself is somewhat like an octopus with the body being a phat grounded groove while the tentacles reach into different musical territories such as Jazz, Funk, Blues and Rock with the occasional spices of Memphis and New Orleans.

Since the bands inception Champipple have kept a busy schedule performing around town. The band consists of Nate Hollman on Hammond B3 and keyboards, Larz Raymond on drums, Jesse Mcnamara on guitar, Daniel Hange on upright and electric bass and Fred Gablick on Saxaphones. Previous to Champipple you may have seen the members performing around Columbus with The Sean Carney band, Donna Magavero, Stonebyrd, 13 O'clock, The Favors, Fletch, Shuckin Bubba, John Mullins Band, Welfare Gypsies, Local Color and numerous others including performing at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Aside from performing live, members of Champipple teach music privately and have studied music at Capital University, Ohio State University, Berkely school of music in Boston and Musicians Institute in Hollywood.

You can also hear members of the band on local movie and short film soundtracks, music for Adventureland at C.O.S.I., jingles, promotional videos, animated short films and on many disks by local artists.

Collectively the band has performed all over the United States from Alaska to L.A. and most of everything in between. You can catch Champipple on just about any given weekend tearin' it up in various clubs and taverns right here in Columbus Ohio.
